Let me sing you gentle songs | Review

I've just finished 'Let me sing you gentle songs' by Linda Olsson. My book club book for last month. I found this to be a beautifully written, gentle story about life, grief, loss and friendship.
The friendship begins when Veronika (32) moves to a small town in Sweden and her only close neighbour is Astrid (81). Astrid has not had much contact with people for many years and has been labeled the local witch by the locals.
Over wine, music and stories the friendship develops and much is shared of their grief and history. Through Olsson's writing you can feel the cold of the depths of winter and the warm sunlight in the change of season.
This is a lovely story exploring life and living without regret.
